This should probably go into the waiting for updates folder, but the story feels complete to me. Shen qiao as a detective and Yan wushi as a mafia boss is an amazinf dynamic, though there are things I would change if I were writing this. I think an ending I would've prefered would have them getting togetger but jeeping their respective positions. It would be si funny if they just completely pretended they didn't know the other's identity. Shen qiao would come home and be like;
"we just uncovered another wing of the mafia operation, they said that the mafia voss Yan Wushi knows where sang jingxing's next weapons storage unit is. I wish we knew his identity so we could take hold of that location."
Yan wushi; ". . ."
Shen Qiao; ". . ."
Yab wushi; "You want the location?"
Shen Qiao; "yes please"
Maybe a bit more well written than that but you get my point, left at chapter 16, febuary 20th 2026. -

Yan Wushi laughs, and pulls Shen Qiao closer.
“So you can poof like a fairy again? You don’t know how long I've waited to run into you again, Ah-Qiao.”

A really interesting concept, and I honestly can't help myself but love anything that has a sort of 'hiding from someone.' I love Shen Qiao as a vampire, it really contrasts with his benevolent nature, and him disguising himself as a blind man to evade suspicion is golden! My only lament about this fic is the fact it's unfinished and will probably remain that way forever. And it had to stop just as Bai Rong showed!!
