Summary
"I'd be lying if I said I respected any decision you make about your future with the team." Auston's rough voice was a blade cutting through the air. "You're mine. Every contract you sign, every night you spend away - it's going to be my choice, not yours."
Mitch gasped when Auston tightened his grip on his hair, exposing more of his neck for another series of possessive bites.
"I need to smell you," Auston licked a purple mark, "taste you," his teeth clenched on Mitch's neck, "possess you." His free hand moved down to grab the brunet's nape, crushing his lips again in a kiss that felt more like a punishment. "You will obey me."
Mitch moaned loudly when Auston rubbed his body against his, the raw excitement making his vision blur. He was lost - and Auston knew it.
"Look at you," Auston laughed, low and victorious, feeling the uncontrollable tremor running through Mitch. "You're already choosing me. Your body knows who it belongs to."

Summary
Auston loved those dreams. But he hated waking up.
Because waking up meant remembering that Mitch was still in that hospital.
That was how Auston realized.
What he felt for Mitch wasn’t just friendship. It never had been. He had only realized it too late. Too late, when there was nothing he could do except hold Mitch’s unmoving hand and silently beg for him to come back.
“I need you, Mitch,” he whispered one night, his fingers gently squeezing Mitch’s, cold against his own. “Please, come back to me.”
Silence was his only answer.

Summary
“Auston…” Mitch murmured, unable to finish his sentence.
Auston pulled back just enough to look into his eyes again.
“You don’t have to say anything,” Auston said, smiling tenderly. “I just want you to know how special you are.”
Mitch felt warmth rise in his cheeks, but at the same time, something inside him seemed to settle. He had never felt so vulnerable, yet he had never felt so loved.
“I… I think I’ve fallen even more in love with you,” Mitch confessed, his voice so low it was almost a whisper.
Auston smiled, leaning in to kiss him again, a kiss that conveyed everything he felt: affection, desire, and the promise to always be there. The golden marks on Mitch’s skin glowed even brighter, as if responding to Auston’s touch and love, filling the room with a light that seemed to emanate from their connected souls.
When they finally pulled apart, Mitch chuckled softly, his blue eyes sparkling like never before.

Summary
You’re so… different," Mitch said, his voice quieter than usual.
"Different how?" Auston asked, tilting his head slightly to the side.
"You care. You pay attention. No one’s ever done that for me."
Mitch turned his gaze away, his expression tightening. He ran a hand through his hair, trying to hide the tears welling up in his eyes. But when he spoke again, his voice was shaky, almost a whisper.
"Why are you so good to me, Auston? You’ve always been so good…"
Auston observed him again for a moment before leaning closer, his voice full of sincerity. "Because I love you, Mitchy. And that’s what people do when they love someone. They care. They’re there. -

Summary
Auston paused, taking a deep breath before admitting what he had been holding in for so long. "Because I love you, Mitch. I’ve loved you for so long I don’t even know when it started."
Mitch’s eyes widened, clearly taken by surprise by the confession.
"You may think you don’t deserve it, but that’s not true. You deserve to be loved for who you are, without lies, without guilt. You deserve to be happy, Mitch. And if you’ll let me, I want to be by your side to help you find that happiness."
Mitch swallowed hard, more tears streaming down his face, but this time it seemed like the weight was starting to lift. He didn’t respond immediately, but his arms around Auston tightened, as if he were trying to anchor himself in that moment.
"I’m not going anywhere, Mitch," Auston added, with a small smile. "You can stay with me for as long as you need. You have all the time in the world."
Mitch closed his eyes, resting his forehead against Auston’s, letting his words and presence completely envelop him. For the first time in months, he felt like he could finally start to rebuild himself.- Language:

Summary
"Do you remember when I said I wanted to be like you?" Mitch began, opening his eyes. Auston remained silent, waiting for him, his gaze growing darker. "Can you do it now?" Mitch whispered his final words. "I want to stay by your side the same way you’ll stay by mine."
Auston moved closer, running his nose along the curve of Mitch's neck, inhaling as much of his scent as he could. Mitch shivered as the sharp tips of Auston's teeth grazed his skin.
"Are you sure?" Auston whispered, leaving a kiss on the spot.
"Yes, I've been sure for years. I... I love you... We're already so certain about this, so why not today?"
Mitch was right. They were in a longer break between games, giving them time to handle whatever came from the transformation. Mitch would have enough time to adjust and adapt to what would become his new self. He had also mentioned wanting this to happen before the wedding—another topic they needed to revisit, which had been set aside due to work.

Summary
"Mitch," Auston began, his voice low and filled with emotion, "I never imagined I’d say this to anyone, let alone feel it as strongly as I do now, but... I love you. I love you in a way that makes me want to be by your side every day, to share every part of my life with you. I want to be with you through everything, for all your victories and even on the hard days. I love every little thing about you—the way you smile, the small things that only I get to see when we're alone..."
He lifted a hand to Mitch’s face, gently brushing his cheek with his thumb, and continued, his eyes shining with sincerity. "You’re the person I want to be with, the person I want to protect and make happy. I want to build something real with you, something lasting. I want to wake up every day knowing you're with me. I want to share the future, no matter what it brings."

Summary
‘’Maybe you need to find someone better for this. I’ll have to stay home for at least two weeks or I’ll need to go back to the hospital again,’’ Mitch lamented a little, tossing his backpack on the couch. Before he could turn toward the kitchen, he felt one of Auston’s hands touch his right hand.
‘’I already found the right person—you are the better one, Mitch.’’
‘’You’ll get tired. Everyone does.’’
‘’I won’t, and I’ll say this as many times as needed: I won’t. I promise. Just give me a chance, one single chance. Give yourself a chance, Marns—a chance to be happy.’’
