The guard's words made it feel like his world was collapsing. He couldn't concentrate on the words coming from the guard's mouth. His friend, the friend who didn't care that he didn't have fully black skin and purely purple eyes, the friend who always gave him advice and just saw him as who he was. His friend, his best friend, gone for good, when they'd seen each other a mere two days ago.
He felt the corners of his eyes stinging, and he shook his head, tearing himself out of the prison that was his mind. The guard's voice finally reached him again. "I'm so sorry, Prince Boo."
And the prince shook his head. If his friend was dead, he'd keep his memory alive. He'd honour him until his own death. "Ranboo", he corrected, before spinning on his heels and running.
