“I’ll do it,” he says again, more forcefully this time. “You don’t have to give me anything.”
Wei Wuxian looks away, hiding a small smile. Doesn’t he know Lan Wangji would do anything for him, by now? Doesn’t he understand that he holds Lan Wangji’s life in his hands?

Summary
During the Sunshot Campaign, Lan Wangji is badly injured in an ambush. Wei Wuxian saves his life, but struggles with the guilt that he may have been the cause.
Originally started in 2021(!!) as a fill for this prompt, which about sums it up:
i'd really like to see a story set during or right after the sunshot campaign where lwj gets seriously injured somehow and yllz!wwx saves him (and he punishes whoever hurt lwj with his demonic cultivation). the tension and worry from seeing lwj hurt culminates in them fucking and it's super fraught and intense bc of all the things that were going on with wangxian during this time period.
