Dokja gently cupped the tear-streaked face of the sobbing man, intending to pull away, but Yoo Joonghyuk held his cold hands in place on his cheeks.
"Hyukie, come on now. My hands are covered in blood, smearing all over your handsome face."
"It's okay; just stay by my side, Dokja. I can't imagine my life without you."
"Hyukie, you've lived for centuries without me. You'll be alright; trust me."
"That was before I met you!" Yoo Joonghyuk rejected Dokja's reassurances, shaking his head.

Yoo Joonghyuk cradled Kim Dokja as he took his final breath, laying him gently on his lap.
