""You’ve dirtied everything you’ve ever come near.”
A strange tremor passes through the prince’s lithe frame, thrilled and revolting and far too familiar. “That includes you, Duncan.”"
(During the Third Blackfyre Rebellion, ten years after the Trial of Seven, a most unlikely meeting takes place.)

Summary
“A dragon’s blood isn’t cold,” Aerion says at last. His own voice surprises him with how hushed it has gone, but he can’t even pretend that he minds: it’s not every day that a man is seen for what he is, even if his witness despises the sight of it – of him. Aerion reaches down and burrows a nail into the delicate crease of his own wrist, dragging it up until he can feel the skin break. He patiently coats his palm with the blood dripping out and presses it to the knight’s parted lips, insisting even as he leans back and tries to evade him. He’ll never get tired of this, he suspects; of being inevitable. “See? A dragon can only ever be made of fire.”
(Or: Aerion pays a series of visits to his prisoner.)

“I’m being serious, asshat,” Jason hisses, swatting his hands away from his face. “You have to tell me what year it is.”
Nightwing crosses his arms a little petulantly. “It’s 2017. Happy?”
Jason freezes, breath catching in his throat. 2017. Five years ago. He was…he was fifteen. “Shit,” he murmurs. He’s going to eviscerate Tim.
Or: Red Hood Jason and 15-year-old Jason swap timelines, landing one week before 15-year-old Jason is supposed to die.

Summary
On the fourth day, it becomes clear that Joe is organizing something—more muscle than usual, a few more Black Mask affiliates than there should be. The few glimpses of Joe that Dick gets, he’s on his phone, speaking rapidly and gesturing emphatically.
On the fifth day, everything is quiet. No one comes, no one goes.
On the sixth day, Tim calls Dick: they’re not sure where Jason is. And yeah, maybe that’s just normal, and they’re not panicking yet. But they’re not sure where he is. And they’re about to start looking.
And on the seventh day, Bruce shows up at his door with Jason standing next to him, pale and hacking out a cough, putting too much weight on Bruce’s shoulder, and says: “I need to ask you a favor.”
OR
Dick is supposed to be on a boring stakeout assignment. Jason complicates that.
OR
“I’LL TAKE CARE OF YOU.” “IT’S ROTTEN WORK.” “NOT TO ME. NOT IF IT’S YOU.”

Summary
"Hey B!"
Bruce stills in his seat, and then, he laughs.
It's silent, and painful as it scrapes the bottom of his chest, and Bruce can't help but bring his hands up to cover his face. The house clothes he's wearing are suddenly too tight and too warm, and Bruce is sure he's about to die with how terrible he feels all of a sudden. Maybe Alfred had finally caved and poisoned Bruce's tea.
His eyes sting when he finally moves his hands away from his face, squinting at the sudden influx of light. Finally, Bruce spares a look to the empty seat in front of him.
For a moment, he sees a boy.
(There is a little ghost in Wayne Manor.)
