The strange books really did turn up out of nowhere. Cedric didn’t even know how they got in his dorm in the first place, stacked as neatly as they were. He simply woke up that morning, pulled back the bed curtains, and there they were, sitting innocently on his trunk. There was a single note on top of the first one, and Cedric curiously picked it up to read before even taking a peek at the books.
