Summary
Calamity Ganon has been gone for three months, and both Link and Zelda are used to the nightmares. The other dreams, however, are a lot harder to shake, and they just keep getting worse.

“You know I don’t mind,” she says, gliding feather soft fingertips down the length of his arms until she’s tracing a scar from his elbow to his wrist. “I think they’re-“
“They’re not.”
Zelda fixes him with a look that’s full of pity and something else he can’t place. He averts his eyes, drawing his arms to himself and out of her grasp. There’s a moment of thick, heavy silence between them before she slides off and to the side of him instead. Guilty, Link turns his body to face her and wraps her in his arms, murmuring an apology with lips pressed to her forehead.

Summary
Pre-calamity AU where Zelda’s powers awaken in time, but not everything is back to normal after Calamity Ganon is defeated.
---
She paused her pen strokes and glared at the page, willing herself to connect thoughts to words and words to paper."We don’t meet anymore, we haven’t since before the monster was sealed away. Even though the night prior haunted my dreams for weeks following my expressed wishes to cease these small moments of privacy. No matter how sweet and innocent they could be. As you know, in my heart of hearts I can’t bind him to me when-"
When Zelda could never be his. When, in times of great enlightenment and prosperity, their fates have crossed and her father now sees him only as a valuable combatant in his army. When destinies have been fulfilled and they were no use to one another.

Summary
Once upon a time, in a half-forgotten life, she pried open his hard outer shell and coaxed him from it until she found the sweetness contained within. She has a million memories of him from Before, of secret smiles and adventures her father was never privy to.
But now, he won’t even talk to her—he’s uttered maybe thirty sentences to her since she woke. And Zelda feels as if she's drowning on land.
OR:
Link needs a good cry, Zelda needs a break, and there's a fish. Or several.

Zelda plays a game with her knight. He doesn’t know he’s playing, but she’s sure he knows she’s playing with him. She isn’t subtle. The game is easier than she expected it to be, even though she still feels fiercely proud when she wins.
The rules are simple: Zelda tries to get Link to break the rules. Getting him to break any rule technically counts as victory, but the sweetest victories are the ones where she gets him to break a rule surrounding his oath.

Summary
Princess Zelda didn’t sleep. Link had tried everything he could think of to get her to rest. Sleep-inducing teas or elixirs, extra soft beds, extra firm beds, sleeping outside under the night sky, in a crowded inn, alone in his cottage, out by the sea with the calming sound of waves. But it appeared that the type of insomnia the princess suffered from was divinely stubborn. Rain or shine, cloudy or clear, she would always get up to sit cross-legged outside, leaning back on her arms, staring up at the sky until sunrise.

Summary
“We never discussed ground rules,” Zelda said matter-of-factly. “And we really should have.”
Link didn’t say anything, waiting for her to continue.
“Obviously, no one can know it’s a ruse,” Zelda said. “If anyone finds out, my father will call off his blessing, and both of us will be back to square one.”
Link nodded.
Zelda suddenly felt too warm, and she decided to shuffle over to her desk, which was a good distance from Link, and dig around for a piece of paper and a quill. “It’ll be good for us to write it out,” she said, more for herself than for Link, who sat on the other side of her desk expectantly.
Why did he look like he was waiting to get marching orders? Like he might have been almost eager for it?
She focused on writing out the first rule. “Rule number one, no one can know.” She penned the words carefully. “We have to look genuinely head over heels for each other.”

Summary
“The handmaidens are beside themselves to see you in your uniform tomorrow.” Zelda blithely smiles, tongue in cheek even as she wonders as to the taste of his. Her appointed knight raises blond eyebrows, mug halfway to full lips before he pauses to roll her words over in his head.
“Are they now?”
“Oh yes,” He sips, throat bobbing with a thoughtful swallow. Green eyes follow the motion ravenously, but if Link feels her gaze on him he doesn’t let on. “It’s all Marion could talk about this morning.” His mouth pulls up into a smirk, and Zelda realizes too late the mischief brewing behind bright blue eyes. She’s inadvertently walked into a trap.
“And you?” Her knight drops his two syllables into the air between them like a remote bomb from the Sheikah slate.
“And I?” Zelda’s heart races as she strives to play coy, painfully aware of how low her bodice dips. Greedy lungs beg for his secondhand air, bidding her chest rise and earning a brief flare of Link’s nostrils. Hyrule’s hope leans forward, wolflike as he halves the space between them to murmur.
“Are you beside yourself to see me in my uniform?”

She smells like warm safflina. No, more specifically, like warm safflina tea sweetened with courser bee honey. And maybe you’re drowning in it. Maybe you’ve drowned in it before. It’s heady and confusing and you can feel her voice vibrate through you as she speaks, hear the smile in her words, “No matter, we’ll make more memories together.”

An exploration into what would happen if Link and Zelda had had some form of a relationship before the Calamity, but Link remembers none of it. Confusing and possibly difficult waters for them both to navigate.

A work exploring Hateno and a makeshift sanctuary.
Her basket's on the table, palms on either side of it. The house dark. Dim.
The door hasn’t closed behind her. Zelda turns her head, peering through windswept hair. Light pours in behind him: his silhouette standing there on the threshold of his own home like a vampire awaiting an invitation. She almost laughs at the sight. The man who cut the Devil to pieces is scared to follow after a woman with a chip on her shoulder? How far they’ve both fallen.
“It’s your house,” she points out.
Permission to enter. He does even though it’s not hers to give. It’s only a few steps, of course. Can’t break the rule. Five feet. Always five feet apart. The door closes.
She wants to break something. An old habit’s under heavy consideration.

“Lovers’ quarrel?” The motel receptionist asks with a wiggle of his eyebrows. “Or do you snore too much?”
Link chokes and turns it into a cough, unable to meet Zelda's eyes. “Neither.”
“We’ve only got a King bed available. Hope you make up soon,” the receptionist says with a wink.
Link sleeps on the couch.

Summary
Zelda is a popular high school senior whose hobbies include theater, the school senate, and fighting with the Vice Principal (who seems to have a personal vendetta against her). Link is her aloof classmate with a motorcycle, two friends, and a bad reputation that steers most people far away from him before he can even say 'hi.' After years of never talking to each other, a brief project in their ASL class has them noticing the other more and more, and they realize that there's more to the other person than meets the eye. And they're about to figure out that life isn't meant to be lived alone.

Summary
In nearly every way (except the most notable), the Princess of Hyrule was the Goddess incarnate. For that reason alone, it was a little ingenious for the King to offer up his daughter’s hand to whoever was able to pull the sword.
Link hadn’t meant to pull the sword. He planned to watch as his comrades pulled with all their might, perhaps even tease a few about how it was all for the better that the sword didn’t budge, because surely no Princess could ever love their ugly mugs, and then get into a good old-fashioned wrestling match with their bruised egos after one too many jokes. But it hadn’t mattered what he had in mind; Link’s plans be damned. The Goddess had already plucked him out of obscurity and set him along Her own path.

Summary
A study in escapism, and inevitability.
"Give me a reason to," she snaps, finally grasping her Slate.
"They're my memories."
Zelda looks at him. Takes in his knit forehead and the desperation she's never seen in him until now. She swallows, struggling to keep her voice from trembling as she whispers, "They're mine, too, Link."
His heavy gaze dips, and for a moment, the crackle of her fallen torch is all there is. The seconds tick by. Five. Five more precious seconds he's stealing from her.
That she's letting him steal from her.
Then, his eyes lift, and he says:
"Let's make a deal."
