Vi wanted to kill them. All of them. Wanted to go back inside and paint the walls red for daring to touch her, to frighten her, to make her feel small and powerless and alone.
Instead, she reached up and cupped Caitlyn's face in her hands.
Caitlyn's breath caught. Her eyes finally lifted to Vi's, wide and wet in the moonlight.

Summary
Vi Lane is convinced she's lucky when she encounters an old classmate from high school, Caitlyn Kiramman.
Meeting at a cafe like it was some sort of rom-com, the two of them were able to catch up on old times and reconnect with ease. In a matter of days, the two of them go from old classmates to a certified couple. Sure, things were moving way too fast but Vi was in love. Caitlyn was perfect and it was all too easy to fall head over heels for the charming, successful bluenette who seemingly had it all.
But appearances could definitely be deceiving.
Little by little, Vi starts learning that there was a lot more to Caitlyn than what met the eye. She was cunning and obsessive and possessive, wanting to keep Vi all to herself. If she wasn't constantly with Vi, she'd find a way to show up where she was at. She was everywhere with no escape, wanting one thing only.
