Summary
this is an AU set after most of the events of episode three of the “I Am Not Okay With This” (the one where a party takes place and Sydney kisses Dina) apart from the very end where Stanley instead never discovers her powers and Sydney gets away without anyone seeing. This chapter focuses more on her relationship with Dina than her actual powers though.

Summary
Glimmer feels them beneath her fingertips as they brush over Adora’s cheek.
It’s no secret that the marks cut deep. Glimmer could already tell that from one look at Adora’s face. She didn’t think to ask, not until Thaymor, because she didn’t give a shit about this piece of Horde scum.
Since Thaymor, however, she stopped herself from asking only because she did.
And now, she can’t help it.
“Who… who did this to you?”
Adora throws her head back and laughs the saddest laugh Glimmer’s ever heard.
“You should see the other guy.” She says, waving a dismissive hand.
“That’s what I’m asking.” Glimmer pouts. “Who was the other guy?”
Or
Adora gains a permanent mark every time Catra scratches her.
When she leaves the Horde, she realises scars like hers aren't normal.

Summary
They stay that way for a long time, Catra’s face tucked into Adora’s shoulder, Adora gently cradling Catra’s head. Adora is careful not to hug Catra too hard or make her feel restrained, anticipating the moment that Catra will start to pull away — but Catra doesn’t. She hangs on so tightly it hurts, her claws digging through Adora’s jacket and into her back, latching into her like she did when she was a kitten and didn’t know how much her claws could hurt. Adora tries not to wince, tries not to move a single muscle, worried that if she does the spell will break and Catra will struggle away, appalled at having shown weakness.
But Catra doesn’t let go. And so neither does Adora.
