Last time they bothered the mercenaries, Hank disappeared for a day and returned with the news that The Auditor has decided to halt all future attacks for the time being, just as long as the others play nice. At first, everyone seemed suspicious, but after a good month and a half of peace, they all actually believed it. The only strange occurrence was Hank’s sudden disappearances. He would leave for a day or two and come back as though nothing happened. Sometimes he would even come home reeking of burned fabric or have the slight scent of very expensive perfume. Obviously they were doing something they didn’t want the others to find out.”
