Josef was the best at what he did. His pack was lethal, and they reveled in it. When they were offered a serum to make them even stronger, faster, deadlier, they agreed with no hesitation. What better way to make his name legendary than to lead HYDRA into world domination?
What Josef found on the other side of the procedure was an uphill battle with his superiors whose fear outweighed their ambition. They feared him, as they should, but also progress. The legacy he wanted was not what it seemed, and despite his power, he was stuck in someone else's shadow no matter how far he reached. A pawn in someone else's game was not what he was destined for.
Sometimes, however, the best revenge isn't against the aggressor. And the dead-eyed warrior that could match him blow for blow seems like a wonderful place to start. The world would fall to its knees for Josef and his pack of killers, and Winter will be eternal.Decades later, Steve Rogers finds out his Omega survived, that he'd been suffering for years under the enemy and forced to do their bloodiest work. He'll stop at nothing to find him and help him, but one unfamiliar name keeps cropping up in his research. Someone much too close to someone much too special.

Steve had a problem. He didn't think it would get this bad, but it was too late now.
As excited as the nation got for the 4th of July to wish both him and the USA a happy birthday, he didn't have the heart to tell everyone it was a lie he told so long ago that his stage show tights hadn't been broken in yet. Thankfully, there was no way that the world could ever find out about this in a believable way. The past was firmly in the past, for better or for worst.
Well, except for one. And his name was James Buchanan Barnes, newly awoken Winter Soldier back at his Cap's right side.
Steve couldn't hide this from him or America for forever, and he couldn't tell who was going to make him regret it more.

“Don’t even think about it.” Jess deadpanned next to him.
Peter had enough sense left to act surprised. “What?”
“Every Peter Parker here has a crush on him. He’s not interested.”
Peter gasped hard at her, appalled. “Jessica, I can’t believe you would assume that about me. I’m married, open status or not, it didn’t even cross my mind. I am a complete professional, and this is a professional setting. You should be ashamed of yourself.”
Jess only needed to wait him out.
“…But seriously, not even a little? Not even curious?”
There it was. “Nope. Just thought I’d warn you before he curves you like the rest.” She clicked her tongue as she turned to walk away.

Peter has a crush on his team leader. Miguel might be open to that, but he's not going to make it easy.

Started as an origin story for a separate Spiderverse rp, but it got a bit away from me.
It doesn't come up in-story, but Miguel is trans in this. Perhaps unimportant to (this) plot, but it's important to me.
