Summary
Taph is a vampire. Everyone knows that. 007n7 is a demon. Everyone knows that. Shedletsky is a bird god… thing. Everyone knows that. Dusekkar is a ghost… kinda. Everyone knows that, too. Elliot is a werewolf. And only Chance knows that.
And The Spectre is tired of keeping it normal. So, it decides it’s going to get rid of the force suppressing the nature that comes with their species, allowing them to finally act the way they were meant to be.
So, now, Chance has to cover up the fact that Elliot’s a werewolf with anxiety problems and is starting to struggle with it even more, while also dealing with everyone else. Sounds like this is gonna be fun.

The monotonous purgatory setup raises no stakes, no reward at the end of the road. Boredom seeps in this very game the Spectre plays god, and with unwarranted freedom given to an entity—a being of code—that craves power through torment, they mock their victims with a patch update:
“Welcome to the next stage of the game.”
“A dating simulation. With a side of death.”
“One of you has been cast as the protagonist—the heartthrob of this hellhole. The rest of you? Suitors. Rivals. Background extras. Play your parts well.”
“Win the protagonist's affection. Compete for his attention. At the end of this trial, the protagonist will have to choose someone. And only then will he and his chosen partner leave this place.”
“Elliot, darling? Smile for the camera.”

Summary
After the countless repeats of rounds after rounds after rounds certain survivors have gotten used to the routine. Wounds still bleed, poison still hurts and weakness will always be weakness, but grudges fade, making room for understanding. The killers were victims just as much as the rest of them, forced to live in this hellscape and through the games, because that's what it was, a big game for the people of a higher power. And with this understanding, that's what the rounds became. Wounds will still bleed, but they will also heal, so why not have some fun with it?
