The news popped up in the group chat just as Franco checked his phone, still light-headed from training and a too hot shower. A big, fat LOL sat under the message, then a flood of jokes followed. For a split second, it felt like they were laughing at him. Of course they didn’t know.
He wiped a patch of fog from the mirror until his reflection appeared: flushed, tight-lipped, an offended boy. Beneath his left nipple, the mark was still there, a week old. Their last time. Middle of the night, as always, in that absurdly pristine penthouse.

Franco no entendía nada. Un segundo estaba revisando telemetrías en alpine y al siguiente, el mundo parecía haberse desajustado. El paddock era el mismo, pero no del todo. Franco Colapinto tiene un secreto.. y uno bastante grande, ha estado teniendo relaciones con el cuatro veces campeón Max Verstappen desde hace casi un año, esporádicamente. Y es que desde un test privados con Red Bull simplemente paso y el no se sentía nadie para negarse, Max es tan distinto pero parecido a el en tantos aspectos. Y... El neerlandés tampoco parece tener ganas de detener estos encuentros, es más quizás el diría que quiere más.
María no sabe donde apoyar su boca abierta mientras un Franco se retuerce de miedo y desesperación en el sillón frente a ella.

Max’s laughter stood out to him. Hearing the blonde genuinely amused by something he said gave him a strange flicker of satisfaction, unexpected and rather confusing. Franco didn’t quite know where that feeling had come from, or why he had liked that sound so much. Maybe it was tied to his recent realization that he’d misjudged the guy. Perhaps he was starting to like the idea of getting along with Max, of having him actually like him. Just like he wanted everyone to like him, not just Verstappen. Or maybe he was just overanalyzing things, as he always did, and being ridiculous about it. Yeah, that sounded more like it
