The year is 1977. You are a mycologist, attending school at Backupsmore University. In order to further your research, you decide to spend the mushroom season in the pacific northwest, where the mushroom density is high. Your advisor connected you with a Backupsmore alumnus that has a lab in a sleepy town surrounded by lush forests. He seems excited about your work, and confirms there are a number of non-native mushrooms in the forests surrounding the town. He invites you to stay with him until the mushroom season is over.
