The room went quiet. Shane could feel the eyes of everyone in the room on him. It shouldn’t have been so fucking hot.
“So desperate you can’t even wait until we get home? So needy you don’t even care who sees. Such a slut.” Ilya tsked in disapproval.
The smile on Ilya’s face turned cruel. Shane couldn’t help the shiver that ran down his spine, heat pooling low in his stomach. Ilya’s gaze left Shane’s, briefly travelling around the room.
“Well, I’m going to take care of my Shane, since he decided to be fucking greedy in front of everyone. You can leave if you want. Or stay. I’m a nice captain, you know? Willing to share.”
No one got up to leave.

Summary
Troy and Harris have been together for more than two years, but outside of Harris’ family, no one knows they’re a couple. Harris is done hiding, so Troy agrees to come out to Harris’ friends, who happen to be the players for the Ottawa Centaurs. Troy knows this isn't going to go well because he plays for the Toronto Guardians and is one of the most hated players in the league, thanks to his past and the hockey legacy his father left behind.
Troy would do almost anything to keep Harris, but the more he gives up to protect their relationship, the less of himself he has left.
