Summary
Little is known about Viserra Targaryen. She was the most beautiful of Queen Alysanne Targaryen's daughters, a vain, wild, and ambitious girl. When she was fifteen, her mother betrothed her to Lord Manderly, a man old enough to be her grandfather. No one was willing to speak against the match, so she tried to seduce her widowed brother, Baelon and gain her freedom. Unsuccessful and resigned to her fate, Viserra snuck out with her friends for one last night of laughter. On their way back, there was an accident, and the Princess fell from her horse and died.
Or: Viserra did not die that night, and instead, the Fourteen Flames showed her the horrors of the future. Forewarned, she will stop at nothing to protect those she loves.

When Stannis was gone, Renly couldn’t help but look up once more, towards the comet hanging in the sky. Bright red, and so far away. It had appeared last night and would surely vanish from the sky within the evening, continuing its course through space away from the planet with no name where Renly had been reborn. The planet where, he knew, he would face dragons and monsters born from the cold.
Renly turned away. The comet did not mean anything. He had more pressing matters to attend anyway. He was going North to meet the infamous Ned Stark. With any luck, maybe he would finally find the beginning of the Plot.
Or maybe the Plot would find him.

Cut off from her friends and allies. The nation must tread into this strange and new world alone. Cross dangerous uncharted seas and meet foes who want to destroy her—changing the political landscape in the nation for the better, to a small few for the worse.

Summary
Everyone knows Mace Tyrell is a fool. The Fat Flower of Highgarden, an oaf who stumbled into power and lets his formidable mother run the Reach from behind his chair.
Everyone is wrong.
When the Tyrells embark on an unprecedented journey north—ostensibly to visit the legendary Wall—they bring more than wagons laden with grain and steel. They bring questions. Particularly about a certain bastard boy raised alongside the Stark heirs, treated with far more care than any lord's indiscretion should warrant.
But the North keeps its own counsel, and Eddard Stark has survived a rebellion, kept his secrets for fourteen years, and will not yield them easily—not even to the cleverest roses the South can grow.
