Summary
Buck cannot live without Eddie, knows it to his very being, but Eddie is shot, and his blood is copper in Buck’s mouth. Maddie wipes his face with a cloth and he tells himself he’ll keep it until Eddie wakes up, sleeps on his couch until he shows up in person to tell him to scoot over so they can watch a movie with Chris.
Or; Buck is not good at letting go, and Eddie doesn’t want him to, but Buck can’t find that out until he’s awake again and warm in his hands.

Summary
Eddie tries to confront everything holding him back over a cold beer and an empty house.
And Buck gets a voice message he definitely isn’t meant to receive.
Or: Eddie crashes out, comes out, and makes out (with Buck) (in that order).

Summary
Eddie Diaz: father, veteran, firefighter, gay. It’s that easy. A descriptor, a word that Eddie’s spent his entire life running from.
It’s a fucking relief to realise now that he’s stopped running. The burn in his muscles will linger, but it’s okay. It will serve as a reminder of how far he’s come.
Beside him, Buck huffs a laugh. “I can’t believe you did a honky tonk dance.”
Eddie laughs, startled. “I can’t believe you didn’t."
Or: on the drive back to Los Angeles, Eddie works up the courage to tell Buck the truth.

Summary
Buck is used to pain – physical, constant and familiar enough to ignore. It’s just another thing he pushes through on long shifts at the station, even when it gets worse for no clear reason.
But ignoring pain is easy compared to ignoring Eddie.Between unspoken tension, stolen touches, and something neither of them has named yet, Buck finds himself unraveling in the quiet hours of a 24-hour shift. And when Eddie finally stops waiting for him to say it first, there’s no room left for pretending this is just friendship anymore.
Or, what starts with hands on Buck’s aching leg turns into something far more dangerous than pain management.Bookmarked by FromCharlieWithRegrets

Summary
So, with three relationship failures under Eddie's belt (four, if he counted Kim), it was time to face the reality that maybe, just maybe, he was sort of, kind of, possibly, a little tiny bit gay. Not fully gay. Just. Partially gay? It wasn’t that he disliked women…right? He’d been with women. He’d very contentedly had sex with women. Well, he’d liked getting them off. That felt good. He liked giving them something that made them happy and feel good. And that was fine, right? It just wasn’t mind-blowing. Was it supposed to be?
On this journey of self discovery, there was really only one option left: He needed to experiment on a real, actual, human man.
Or,
Eddie comes to some realizations about himself. Chief among them: he far prefers fucking men to women. Buck is supportive! And fine with this! So very, very fine with this...

Summary
On their way home, Buck and Eddie get a flat tire and have to spend the night at a motel. Picks up directly after 9x13: Mother's Boy.
“That lady at the front desk thinks we’re partners,” Buck spat out, the edge of his mouth curling like he was confused.
Eddie shrugged. “So? We technically are.”
“Not work partners. She thinks we’re… y’know. Honeymoon suite-ers.”
Eddie didn’t look up at Buck, instead stayed kneeling, searching for his pair of sweatpants. “Why do you care what she thinks, Buck?”
“I don’t. I just… don’t understand why you didn’t correct her. Just like those guys in the bar. And when the sheriff assumed you were my partner and let you get in the ambulance with me. You didn’t correct any of them.”
“Why should I care—” Eddie asked, finally lifting his eyes to look up at Buck through his lashes, “—what they think?”Bookmarked by FromCharlieWithRegrets
