Summary
The stars are different.
It’s probably not the first thing she should be noticing, nor the one to be fixating on but…well, it's definitely the strangest. The other things – that it's too cold, every inch of her body hurts, the completely unfamiliar landscape, and the fact that she has absolutely no idea how she ended up here – are not entirely unusual. Unexpected, sure, but nothing that hasn't happened before.
The stars, on the other hand…that's a first. Those don't just change. They shift, depending on which hemisphere you're in, but she's studied enough of space to know she isn't looking at the Milky Way.

It's one thing to theoretically accept an ancient vampire is going to teach magic to some of the kids. That to actually happen is another different thing.
Harry is doing his best and Terwich as a whole is still mildly shellshocked at his existence, but things are looking up. Hopefully. Harry believes. Harry wants to believe. Please let things be looking up, Harry just wants to talk to people and have a job again.

Juno rips off the bandaid: “I can still sense your thoughts sometimes. Feel what you feel or—or taste what you taste. It’s like Miasma blurred the line between our minds and now…” He shrugs helplessly. “It’s not like a voluntary thing. Maybe there’s some way for me to stop, but I don’t know how, and…that’s part of why I didn’t tell you sooner, because I don’t know how to fix this. I want you to be able to trust me, but I…”
He can’t go on. The actual sensation has left him, but Juno can tell Nureyev’s horror well enough from the look on his face.
“What do you know?” he asks.

“Did…” Nureyev seems to search for the right way to phrase his next question. Finally he says, “Did your previous partners…not lie with you like this, after a scene?”
Juno’s mind flashes to the smooth plane of Diamond’s back, lit by the slatted window of their apartment. Sometimes they’d clean up, curl up under the covers, and fall asleep before Juno could snap out of his stupor. Other days they’d wait for him at the kitchen table. It was a bit of a ritual: Juno would come down from the high, clean up, and meet them for some tea or a snack.
In the present, Juno shrugs one shoulder. “I mean, uh. No? Maybe a couple times. Why would they?”
Something like fear crosses Nureyev’s face. “Juno. Do you know what aftercare is?”
