Summary
Ouroboros. The cycle of death and rebirth, rotating slowly as time continued into infinity. Unable to be stopped or even paused by mortal man. Only the Hypogean and Celestials could hold the delicate balance of the universe, resulting in wars across the cosmos.
Until the Celestials blessed Esperia with magic, leading to the rise of mages. And with them, the wars of the cosmos found their way to the mortal plane. The balance of the Ouroboros struggled as the Lightbearers and Wilders joined their Celestial gods against the forces of the Hypogean, plunging the world into prosperity so great it turned to rot.~~{@
Based on my own headcanons for the game, mostly around my own Merlin and some original lore I've thrown at him. But, since he'll be mostly un described, you should be able to imagine your own Merlin visually easily

He probably looked like death, he reasoned. Covered in sweat that was slowly starting to get sticky, hair a mess from sleep, and he had started to feel nauseous as he traveled down the hall. He could only imagine the wonders that last bit was doing for his image.
A hand suddenly grabbed Perpetua’s wrist, and he turned to see an older woman standing behind him.
Mother Superior cringed as she looked over his face, “Father Perpetua, you look like death.”

Overnight and without warning, Perpetua finds his world thrown into chaos and his church slowly turning against him. Unaware of what or who did this to him, he finds himself struggling to understand why he was Satanized.
