“Okay, hey,” said a voice in Yuji’s head, “you totally did the finger thing first.”
Holy shit. It’d worked.
“Hi, Yuji,” Gojo-sensei said brightly. “Mind if I borrow your body for a sec?”
Since getting unsealed, Gojo’s been acting weird. Like “not sure he's going to win” weird. But not to worry! Yuji has a backup plan to help his favorite sensei, just in case. All he has to do is eat one more finger. What could possibly go wrong?

Yuuji’s still willing to ask questions, though. “What does that mean for me? I’m your student now?”
“You are,” Satoru confirms. Yuuji will get his student ID and uniform soon. Something with a hood, if Satoru gets any say in it, and he will. “Don’t look so excited yet though! There’s some caveats. Which really means one,” Satoru admits, tilting his head. “But it’s important.”
Finally starting to look wary, Yuuji asks, “What is it?”
Well. The best way to remove a band-aid is to rip it off.
Satoru settles deeper against the door, crossing his ankles and arms. “You’re going to need to get mated before your rut hits.”
For a second, all Yuuji does is stare at him, no expression at all on his face, and then: “What.”

Talking to Sukuna as an adult was like talking to a brick wall, so Yuji is going back in time to talk to him as a young and impressionable child! It’s literally a bulletproof idea no matter what Nobara says, okay?
(…He arrives a little later than he would've preferred, but that’s not so bad when you consider that the margin of error is a thousand years!)
