A watch the movie/series fanfiction that happens in the Spectacular Spider-Man world but also shows scenes from other versions of the characters. It might be less terrible than it sounds. Just... if you like Spider-Man, maybe give it a go.
(Yes, it's like a different fic of mine, just written differently and with more of a focus on the Midtown students. I like it better, if that means anything to you. No, the original version still exists; I haven't touched it.)
