soon, he is to be an adult. he feels as though he is going to expire, as though he will grow to an age where he is too old to be desired. is it wrong to say he'd like most to die at this age? or maybe what he wants is to go back in time? even to those times full of brutal violence? is it wrong, also, to say he'd like to feel those scars being forced into his skin once again? how pathetic it is, to finally learn the definition of that word, of “safe”, and to still crave for the feeling of agony wrung deep into your bones. you are pathetic.

there's no point in whining now, for he is incapable of doing anything to stop this, and he's not entirely sure he'd do it even if he was capable. he’s perfectly content to complain about how much he hates it, but it's a bit scary to imagine actually putting a stop to this disgusting practice. it's so comfortable, so familiar, to be used in this way that it scares him to think they'll stop. they're already pulling at his clothes, or maybe their own clothes, everything bleeds into a singular mass. bleeding, bleeding, he is bleeding, the whole world is bleeding.
