Summary
Pure Vanilla looks so small even after all these years. After hearing word of his friends' transformations Dark Cacao feared he would hardly recognize his companions. But all the cookie standing before him has changed is the sheer magnitude of his power. And Cacao has always thought power looked good flushed across his oldest friend's skin but this awakening of his souljam is like nothing else.
The renewed strength has touched every visible inch of Pure Vanilla. Dusted in the color on his face and tinging the elegance of his movement; even in the way light seems to glint of his golden hair where it frames his face and teases the curve of his chin. The air itself bends around him, letting Pure Vanilla glide through a room and command every molecule.
"I can tell you're staring, you know."
Dark Cacao sees Pure Vanilla for the first time since they both awakened their full power. Some things never change, but his old friend can still surprise him.

Summary
As you steadily grow closer, what you're looking at is a mermaid. Delicate looking yellow fins frame their face like flower petals, draping over each other while they're out of the water, and deep red gills fluttering against their sunny yellow skin.
A beautiful orange tail that glitters in the afternoon sun curves out beside them, tailfin flipping absently against the rock they're laying against. A bright patch of scarlet is painted over their otherwise purely orange scales, dripped across the middle of their tail and twisted around the side where you can't see. From here you don't see any pooling beneath them, but it's still so bright the blood must be fresh.
Hastily you drop anchor right where you are, close enough to see the whites or the mermaid's wide, blue eyes as they watch you approach. Not afraid of humans, even when you're arriving on a ship headed straight towards them. -

Summary
Maybe he's not meant to touch. It's the newest excuse he thought of in hopes that he could prolong the game a little more; a careful ruse to enjoy the bittersweet torture of seeing the days pass them by, while he pretends he doesn't seek azure blue whenever he's restless. At first, all he wanted to do was watch: but now the desire to touch, to have, to affect is at a point where he's not sure whether reaching for Sonic would truly be fruitless.
He wonders that especially when Sonic's eyes light up upon seeing him. When he corners Shadow, when he invades his space and he touches and takes and then excuses it by calling it a fight. Shadow truly wonders then: if only he was brave enough to reach out, what would his grip find? Loose stars or a battle-worn body?
Standing up, he glances at Sonic again, whose eyes have now met his own. There's something heavy in the eye contact, something Shadow doesn't dare name. Neither of them say anything, and yet Sonic's eyes move away from him again, like they did.
Shadow warps away, hiding from the stars once more.

Batman encounters reporter Clark Kent, their eyes meet through the cowl and Bruce can see color for the first time.
Clark can't help but noticed that, to spite being from different planets, Bruce Wayne looks a lot like him. Bruce Wayne must be his soulmate! Superman keeps showing up in Gotham to try and speak to Bruce.
But Bruce knows his soulmate is that rando nobody of a reporter from the Daily Planet and has no time for the alien's romantic overtures.
