    “Lou... we could totally do it you know.” Liam looked at him with his big brown eyes expectantly.

    “Do what?” Louis tried to hide a yawn in the crook of his elbow.

    “Nothing serious, just fuck around with some music. We were a great team, yeah? I... I actually miss it. Watching us in your doco tonight made me feel something I haven’t felt in a long time. Or, even allowed myself to feel, I think.” He scrunched his eyebrows and concentrated hard at a spot on the floor, waiting with bated breath for Louis’ answer.

    “I’m always down to hang with you Li, you don’t have to make such a big fucking deal out of it, lad.” Louis laughed. His interest was piqued. He knew he and Liam were song-writing gold. And with time apart, maybe their styles had changed and evolved, but Louis harboured no doubts that they could write some good shit again.

    After the London premiere of his documentary All of These Voices, Louis and Liam end up hanging out and shooting the shit. What started off as a passing comment has the ability to grow and expand bigger than any of them ever thought was possible.
    An entirely indulgent short fic about the elusive 1D reunion we all want.
