Vance writing a song about Bruce Yamada of all people? Of course not. The press had been asking and asking who the song was about and all he did was blow them off telling them it wasn't about anyone.
Of course though, he was lying. He wrote the lyrics in a drunk haze at one of his band mates house during a party, he stumbled up the stairs with a bottle of some type of alcohol he wasn’t paying attention when he grabbed it. Thoughts of that goddamn Bruce Yamada flooded his memories, he met him during one of his concerts-apparently he was an up and coming baseball player. Best player on his team he said, immediately Vance took to him. He was smart, funny, and charming. Even his eyes were mesmerizing, he flopped onto his band mates queen sized bed in the guest room.

The lyrics went on and on, about wanting to be Bruce’s. He passed out in that room and woke up late enough that even his bandmate Robin, shook him awake. A massive split made itself known in Vance’s head, a hungover that poets write about placed its home inside of his head.Series

Craig looked up from the piece of construction paper he was sprawled over, making eye contact with his boyfriend at the other end of the table. Between them was an assortment of craft materials they’d stolen from the downstairs coat closet—Sharpies, paper, glue, stickers, stamps, and even a few bottles of non-toxic glitter (because Tricia had a bad habit of eating anything mildly digestible in her early adolescence). Their current project was nothing to sneeze at, either. It had taken several long-winded discussions between the two boys on boundaries, communication, and feelings to even get to the craft stage. They had finally made it, though, after a tiresome two months of deliberation. So between the two of them, sprawled out on Craig’s kitchen table, lay a giant construction paper card asking Kenny to become their partner, together.

As soon as the words leave his mouth, a strange emotion overtakes him. It might be regret, or relief, or grim satisfaction, but in one way or another, having said that guilty little thought that he'd considered a million times before brings a blush to his cheeks and lifts a weight off his shoulders.
