He talks to the stars that they once loved together like they're a map that could lead him to Eddie and when they don't answer his pleas, he tries his hardest to move on. To heal.
It's 1997 when Steve Harrington sees Eddie Munson again, a ghost on his doorstep with a shy smile and an eyebrow ring. Except this time, Steve has divorce papers and a daughter and a shoddily pieced together heart that won't fall so easily a second time for the galaxies Eddie still holds inside of him.

Summary
Eddie Munson is a tactile guy. He shows his friends affection through little touches and kind words, grabbing their shoulder, ruffling their hair, telling the kids they did a great job and he's proud of them.
Steve Harrington is quite the opposite of Eddie. Most days he can't find the comforting words he wishes he could offer, or build up the courage to reach out and just touch. Growing up with absent parents will do that to a guy. He can't help the uncomfortable buzzing feeling beneath his skin when his shoulder brushes past someone, much less the full body electricity that comes with a hug.

Summary
Eddie’s barely takes a step towards the hallway before Steve’s outline catches his attention. He’s leaning on the kitchen counter, his eyes closed, head tilted upwards, looking every bit as beaten as he did outside.
“Hey, you ok?” Eddie asks, though he already knows the answer. Knows Steve will try to play it off. He walks closer to him.
“She’s not totally wrong. I just…I thought I was, I don’t know, better, I guess. Turns out I’m still just…bullshit.”

3 times Steve stands up for himself in front of Eddie and the 1 time Eddie does it for him.

“Okay, this guy, ah… perhaps he’s a regal prince from a peaceful kingdom that Will the Wise met in the faraway land of Vallaki, or maybe it’s that guy he used to like.”
“What?” Will whispers.
“You know, his 'Tammy.’ Maybe they find their way back to each other.” And then, worried he’s said the wrong thing, Mike adds, “Unless he’s over him?”

Will couldn’t be happier when Mike imagines a future boyfriend for him that looks, dresses, and acts just like Mike. Mike doesn’t get why Will is so hung up on the idea of some random guy.
