She sighed and began to brush her teeth. While she did, her eyes wandered around the bathroom, and landed on the makeup remover. Ena had put it back on the wrong side of the shelf. Mizuki chuckled and reached to move it, but then thought better of it and left it where it was. It made more sense there anyway.
She went to bed feeling strangely giddy, and with the warmth of Ena‘s shoulder next to hers lingering on her mind.-----
Ena accidentally burns her apartment down and Mizuki begrudgingly accepts her into her life. But only for tonight. Definitely not more than that.

There was the sound of the door shutting. A few footsteps.
“She’s not here?” the voice asked.
Zoey dropped her voice lower, almost conspiratorial. “No. She went out—probably won’t be back for, like… fifteen, twenty minutes.”
A beat of silence. Then a quiet chuckle. “Good. Then I can steal you for a while.”
There was a nervous little hiccup of laughter from Zoey. “Wait—don’t get too close, I’m still live—”
“I’ll stay out of frame,” the voice promised, tone coaxing.
The sound of a hand brushing fabric, then a soft shuffle—the mic catching the rustle as Zoey was pulled slightly sideways. A faint smack of lips meeting. Quick. Too quick to be mistaken.
Chat slowed to a crawl.
