    Before he starts at Hogwarts, Harry triggers a wild magic gift that almost gets him killed by his unhinged relatives. Rescued from near death by a mysterious stranger who has connections to his dead mum, Harry ends up spending the year before Hogwarts on a weird and life-changing adventure. When he returns to begin school in the Autumn, he is a different boy from the one that left the year before, assertive and sneaky in a way that almost defies Hogwarts houses. Now, understanding the full truth of his magical heritage, he must navigate the coming years while struggling to get his wild magic under control. Oh, and the small matter of getting rid of Voldy too.

    *UPDATE* 16/10/2025
    Hey all, this fic is not abandoned! I have long COVID, and unfortunately, getting the virus in July retriggered a lot of my symptoms, mainly extreme fatigue and brain fog. I am feeling much better now and have started working on my fic again. I am currently doing a re-edit, so some chapters remain the same while others have undergone significant changes —no content changes, just syntax to help them flow more easily. Currently edited up to chp 6. Enjoy, and I will have the new chapter up very soon.
