There's the slightest hint of the Black Mask returning, a smirk beginning to crawl across his face… but he quickly supresses it. Haru nods, her gaze again turning towards her lap. "In truth, I don't think I can ever fully forgive you, Goro."
…Goro. Akechi is taken aback by his first name being used. Especially by Haru. But he doesn't correct her, doesn't insist she stick to a surname basis, or that she use honourifics. It's unusual, but he doesn't dislike it.
"…But I can relate to your past. I can acknowledge the bind you'd been placed in, because I was in a similar position."
"You were hardly assassinating people to please an impossible-to-please man. And may I remind you of the times I tried to kill you all." he says, disgusted.

Lucina opened her eyes. Another sleepless night. Her mind was racing so much she almost found the tree she was slumped against comfortable. She couldn't see any trace of sunlight, so maybe she'd gotten a couple of hours, but the sun clearly wasn't rising any time soon.
The stars were particularly bright tonight. Sparkling, twinkling gems that brought her back to the late nights she'd spend training with her father. Before he went to save the world. Before the Fell Dragon blotted out those sparkling, twinkling gems with the embers of searing flames.
