Summary
After what happened with Val, Angel knew he'd never trust any man again. But some powerful feelings start to stir after the exorcists attacked, which throws Angel head first into the one thing he swore to never repeat: Fall in love.
Husks world is turned upside down as he realises he's done what he thought he was incapable of: fallen in love with Angel, and badly.
But both of them are so very broken in so many ways and both Alastor and Valentino have their claws dug so very tightly around each of them, which leaves a problem: What will they do when Val or Alastor finds out?
Takes place straight after the events of 'The Show Must Go On'.

- Maria Robotnik to Shadow, Sonic X Shadow GenerationsDuring quieter times, Shadow makes plans to visit Spagonia, wishing to experience the cooking Maria swore by when he met her in White Space in an attempt to get to know her life on Earth better. (Un-)Fortunately, Sonic has the time show him around the place, which turns out to be a bigger help than Shadow would've ever thought. Now if only that didn't also make it harder for the hybrid to keep up his prickly walls that he's set up ever since that one fateful encounter with Sonic on the lily field...
Perhaps Sonic has been right all along and he should be more honest with himself.
As Shadow struggles, he quickly discovers that Sonic is hiding some secrets of his own.

Summary
In the stretch of winter, Sonic and Shadow come together under the realization that they’re dealing with the same issue: Lonliness.
Slow season typically has Sonic hanging with his friends all the time, but now he has to bob and weave around their busy schedules. Rouge recently moved out of Shadow’s apartment with him, and he’s trying to be okay with living alone again.
But when Sonic kisses Shadow, things feel different. Exciting. They meld into this new relationship, navigating grief, quirks, and each other’s bodies.
With the help of lots of cigarettes and lots of gum.

"Can I get you something to drink, miss?"
It took a moment for Shadow to realize the bartender was addressing him. Toying with the soft fabric of his skirt, the hybrid gave a small shake of his head rather than any verbal response. The low timber of his voice would definitely give away that he wasn't a woman.
Continuing to wring one of the ruffles of his skirt, crimson eyes roamed around the room to try and catch a glance of green. Sonic had insisted on this, damn it, so where the hell was he?

Shadow couldn't do anything until he arrived, so he was left to lean against the bar, fussing over fixing his skirt into place before brushing his fingers through his quills. He nearly jumped when a glass was sat down behind him.He eyed the bartender for a moment, before he threw his thumb back to the other side of the bar, "A gentleman ordered for you. Said it was your favorite."
The liquid was the familiar opaque brown of an espresso martini, which was, in fact, Shadow's favorite. Following the direction of the bartender's thumb, he finally saw those viridescent eyes watching him.
Of course, he was going to make a game out of this.
