In the beginning, Lucifer gave humanity the first apple, dooming himself and mankind in the process.
In the beginning, Lucifer was cursed to bear the apple as a reminder of his sins.Even if Lucifer decorates with something else, eventually everything just turns into apples, or if he's lucky, snakes. He's given up on fighting it, and started making everything apples from the get-go, pretending it's intentional and he's leaning into it.
