Summary
After finally starting a relationship with his childhood best friend, Anthony Jay, Ezra Fell is returning to his home town to visit for the month of December. It will be his first Christmas back since the year he came out and his parents failed him. It will be complicated, repairing old wounds while navigating a new romance, and that’s to say nothing of the usual complexities of Ezra’s life.
He is, after all, actually the angel Aziraphale currently inhabiting a human form, just as Anthony is actually Crowley.

Viago gets dumped by the love of his afterlife, and everyone does their level (terrible) best to help him move on. Anton knows a thing or two about not getting the life you thought you were going to have. The camera crew are back to film every moment of it. More or less.
“Katherine left Viago a note.” Deacon says, turning to the camera and making a face as a moan of anguish echoes from behind the closed door of Viago’s chamber. “It seems that she met a younger man at the bingo hall, and they have- well, not ‘run’ away, because I do not think he can run with that metal frame thing he has to use to get about but- they have left.”
A crash comes from inside the room, and then more heartbroken crying.
Deacon winces. “Vladislav is comforting him.”
“We could just kill her if you like-” Vladislav can be heard saying.

Summary
When Crowley is given the chance at a human life (birth to death, family, Free Will, the whole thing) he takes it. He does this, in part, to protect Aziraphale from being forced to take the same opportunity against his will.
However, once Crowley is off on this metaphysical adventure, Aziraphale follows after him, retaining his memories but becoming human himself so that he can watch over his friend.
Now the two of them are growing up together, one ignorant of their true forms and one all too aware of the strangeness of their situation.
Before it's over, the series will follow the two of them through childhood and into adulthood, eventually becoming romantic.
