spoilers for hsr 3.3
When it comes to predatory, soul-sucking gacha games, Cosmic Impact Rail Zero was probably the worst of the worst. Did it have incredible characters? Yes. An engaging storyline? Double yes. Did it make Mydei want to blow his entire paycheck on weapons and skins and more rolls? Of course it did.
But it also killed off basically every character in the game, including the crown prince that shared Mydei's name– Mydeimos the Undying, Son of Gorgo. How the hell was that even possible?! He literally had undying in his title!?
So when the developers ask for feedback, Mydei goes off on a heated tangent– and finds himself reincarnated as his namesake. You know– the doomed prince, destined for a life of hardship? Destined to die?
Not if Mydei has anything to say about it.

Summary
The sole surviving heir of a magus family, Mydeimos initially had everything meticulously planned for the coming Holy Grail War. Prepared the perfect catalyst, with absolute confidence that the Servant summoned will be a Lancer. After all, their family was descended from Nikador, the Lance of Fury himself. The Heroic Spirit his family has fought alongside with in the previous Grail Wars, and the one who should have been his partner in the current War, as per tradition.
Except that the very Nikador was now raining spears to the barriers protecting his home.

Summary
Phainon scratches his head, debating the possibility of this creature being some kind of spy against the Flame-Chase. A human would be thrown out and arrested immediately, but something soft and cute and fuzzy like this could very well be an attempt to slip under their radar.
Although… the chimera maybe-a-spy is doing a terrible job at looking soft or cute. It’s the most sour-faced chimera he’s ever seen. Even the Garden of Life’s chimera literally named “Bad-Tempered” for attitude issues has never held such a fierce look on its face. This chimera probably-a-spy has a serious frown and flat expression. Its small body is wired with tension. Long, sharp claws scratch the marble ground.
“Aglaea?” Phainon asks. “What’s a chimera doing in the Hero’s Bath? Did the little fella get lost?”
The chimera’s eyes suddenly snap open, fierce gaze locking onto Phainon, and it growls.
In which Mydei turns into a chimera, Phainon panics, the other Chrysos Heirs aren’t as bothered as he thinks they should be, and shenanigans ensue.
