He looked at it again in the mirror.
The gentle scrawl of letters looked like the vines of the flowers in the garden. It was pretty. No wonder Makoto and Nagisa were so drawn to it. There was something… fleeting in the words though. Something that made Haru’s skin crawl.
He heard that almost everyday.

Haru did everything right while Asahi stood there and forgot how to work, just like when he forgot how to swim freestyle. The only difference is this time, it really mattered. Asahi wants to be the best swimmer ever, but being the best swimmer ever is pointless if Ikuya isn’t there too.
