Summary
Nancy, Eddie, and Jonathan are struggling rock musicians in a band who get the news of a lifetime. They're opening for Family Video, a nostalgic dream-pop vocalist duo band. Steve and Robin are superfans of the band and are able to convince their manager to let the rock local legends open for them.
Tour buses, past addictions, late night shows, song writing, and dirty motel rooms. What could be a better setting for falling in love? Especially after they're told explicitly by Hopper, the record studio owner, to not fuck each other.
Nancy thinks that's an easy direction she can follow. She hasn't dated anyone in years and barely believes in love anymore.
But then there's Robin. And it becomes a lot less easy.

Robin swallowed, eyes going glassy again. “Stacy and I… broke up.”
Nancy’s face changed instantly- softened and sharpened all at once.
“Oh Robin…..What did she do to you?” she asked quietly, but the anger was right beneath the surface, simmering hot.
Robin tried to shrug, but it came out as a shaky breath. “Nothing. I just- I messed something up-”
“No,” Nancy said, cutting her off immediately, voice firm. “No, you didn’t. That’s impossible.”
Robin blinked.
Nancy’s hands tightened on her arms.
“You deserve better than someone who makes you feel like you’re in the wrong,” she said, cheeks flushing with emotion. “So much better.”
Nancy stood so fast her chair screeched across the floor.
She marched over, not hesitating, not asking, just cupping Robin’s elbows and looking directly into her ruined face.
“What happened?” Nancy demanded- gentle voice, furious eyes.

Summary
