Summary
Eight months after the events of Sherrinford, Mycroft Holmes finds himself becoming more open to sentiment, namely with D.C.I. Greg Lestrade. When Mycroft has to host a couple of diplomats and their young daughter for a weekend, Mycroft notices something very wrong going on between the child and her 'parents'. Mycroft will not stand for the mistreatment and does what The British Government does best to try and free the child from the couple. Can Mycroft and Greg- and the rest of the Baker Street Gang- undo years of mistreatment and show the child that, sometimes, it is love that makes a family and not blood?

Summary
Sherlock's seemingly flippant return in the restaurant leaves John feeling angry and betrayed, something Mycroft Holmes cannot be having. Mycroft wants John to return to 221B, not only for his brother's happiness and stability but because he believes it's what John wants, too. Anthea hatches a plan to get Mary out of the country for a few weeks and Mycroft persuades John to stay at 221B to try to work things through with Sherlock. By the time Mary returns, will John still want to marry her, or will he realize he's about to make the biggest mistake of his life?

Summary
Another post-Final Problem story about the Holmes family from Mycroft's POV, story told through Sherlock's POV. This is edgy, and Sherlock's POV is almost never entirely in congruence with my own, though it's closer this time than often. Just be aware I have always considered Sherlock, even at his most perceptive, an unreliable witness/narrator. There are always the bits he misses.

Some people made wrong orders of coffee for their boss, others forget to carry the one in the equation, why were his mistakes so grand?

After those events, he grows worried for his brother, Mycroft, who he had always believed to be almost perfect. But his life is about the change one more time, there are other skeletons in the Holmes' family closet. Mycroft has been keeping another secret from his parents and brother. Sherlock is dead set on finding out about it.
