It’s just that this stranger is really quite (very, extremely) pretty. And Louis knows it isn’t some magical effect of dehydration or delusion because he is present enough to notice the stars and stripes pattern adorning his head. A US flag as a headscarf. This would have had Louis running in the opposite direction in normal circumstances. The Northwestern lilt in his British accent helped somewhat, but Louis might have actually fucked a Texan in any case.

I loved this fic so much. Harry's earnest sweetness and positive energy, and Louis' ornery frustration and then willingness to open up his broken heart, were so well written. The descriptions were detailed to the point that I felt as though I was sweaty and filthy from hiking the sweaty trail and was so relieved when they got to the showers! lol Banter is one of my favorite parts in a story and theirs was superb! This fic was delightful!!

This is an emotional, gorgeous story. The writing is wonderful and the characters so well developed that I hated to say goodbye to them at the end. One of my favorite fics ever.

This Hallmark-channel town feels more like punishment than a fresh start. Louis prepares for the worst ten months of his life.
Until Harry, the art teacher who ribbon laces his sneakers and paints rainbow fences, makes it really easy to get distracted.
