“Right. And it’s just- I’m the first guy he’s ever been with.” He pauses to make sure Sapnap is keeping up. “It’s just kind of hard sometimes. Like, I- y’know, love him, and I know he loves me and our relationship is really good, like, he’s the best person I’ve ever met and I don’t want-”
“George,” Sapnap cuts off his rambling.
The tips of his ears go a little pink, his cheeks warm with embarrassment, “Sorry. I think-” he sighs, “I think he’s finding it hard. Being with me.”

“Oh,” George says. “I dunno, I was just thinking about like…” he considers not saying it, because he knows that it’s going to make Dream upset. But he thinks that he’s upset, anyway, because he was thinking about it by himself, so if he makes Dream upset, at least they can be upset together. “Like, the ruby slippers.”

George was slow to respond, wetting his lips, dancing his eyes all over Dream’s face. “Something more.”
