The last chord rang out through the room and Paul rested his hand on the guitar’s body, waiting for a verdict from John. The other man pursed his lips, resting his chin on his hand, letting the post-song silence stretch.
“Hmm,” he finally began. “Not bad. Better than I expected.”
Paul raised his eyebrows, “High praise comin’ from you. Better than you expected? Fuck, I reckon I must be doin’ somethin’ right.” He leaned back against the headboard, letting the guitar relax back into his lap.
