Ronan's body pulsed. Someone had done their homework.
"Tell me." Adam squeezed Ronan's chin. "Do you want it to hurt?"
Ronan gets what he asked for. And what he asked for was Adam, dressed as a priest, making him repent.

Ronan woke up in the tiny room above St. Agnes's, where he'd fallen asleep on Adam's floor for the upteenth time. It was becoming somewhat of a habit, one that both thrilled him and simultaneously made him violently fucking nervous. It was too much, too close, not enough, nowhere near what he wanted. But he wasn't naive enough to think he'd ever get anything more, so it was fine. It was all totally and completely fine.

Summary
While the first load washed, Ronan made himself toast and threw open windows and the front door, standing in the doorway and watching Adam work for a while until the washer buzzed it was done. Then, in an attempt at further productivity, or at least at looking like an overachiever, Ronan gathered more clothes from his room and shoved them in the washer once the first load was tumbling in the dryer. He was just closing the lid on the second load when, behind him, Adam said, “That was fast. Thought I’d have to bug you at least two more times.”
