Kaz frowns with uncertainty, nearly whispering. His eyes are far away. “Do you ever feel like the thing that’s trying to kill you is doing it from the inside?”
Ocelot’s mind flits back to a classroom, a radioactive school uniform, and an unnamed dread which used to run like slow poison through his bloodstream.
Kaz continues, his voice darkly soft. “I just… want to get it out in the open. Where I can at least see what I’m swinging at.”
