Summary
A very, very long time ago I wrote a little something called Boots, in which Thorin, retired to the Shire, got "tied up" and properly fucked by his husband Bilbo. My lovely and much beloved friend Mith commented, noting that Bilbo at one point said “Not that we need them[restraints], given that you can pin me down with one hand.”.
She said, specifically: "and now i want THAT fic because i'm thirsty and gross :)"
Well, Mith's wish is my command. I had intended this to be ready for her birthday, but it... wasn't. I hope you'll enjoy it anyway, lovely Mithles, and thank you so much for your artwork and creativity and most of all for your friendship. I love you lots. :3

It's not my finest work I'm afraid, but I'm desperately trying to get back into writing, so let's consider this a somewhat clumsy first step. Endless thanks to Mith for the beta, without which several chunks of this would be nonsense. I have tried to research, but I've never been to Canada or done any sort of fishing, ice or otherwise, so I hope any remaining errors can be forgiven.

Not only were her elderly Aunt Belba and Uncle Rudigar attending as usual, but she had another six people to fit around the table, bringing the total number to ten. She wasn’t quite ready to ask for a loaves and fishes miracle, but God, being omniscient, probably knew he was on notice.

I split this off into its own fic because things should (if the boys co-operate) be getting somewhat steamier from here on. For once, I don't know how many chapters it will take, but bear with me...
There's still really very little plot to this, and lots and lots of tooth-rotting fluff, but the main difference is that the Dwarves are now Satyrs. Most other things are the same... including Bilbo and Thorin being Dorks in Love.
I am indebted forever to ruto for her amazing art and for prompting this whole spiral of madness!

Also, a brief note about The Brave Soldier and the Princess, aka the piece of fic that started this whole crazy carousel in motion. It was supposed to be a one-off, and I did only the most cursory research. Those eagle-eyed Tolkien scholars (and I’m sure there are so many reading this satyr-dwarf/hobbit romantic kidfic au) will have spotted that the hobbits in the opening scene of this series would have been about 12 years younger than Bilbo, who was intended to be in his early-to-mid-teens at that point anyway. SO I have gone back and re-jigged a few names, largely for my own satisfaction, and I hope no-one will mind.
