    This is pretty much all speculation/headcanons/etc. Most of it is not canon. I was heavily inspired by@grandenchanterfiona and others in recent posts to continue this stuff! I’ve added things, added references to realistic/earth countries.

    This does not include the Avvar nor the Chasind, as they are not /officially/ citizens of Ferelden.

    Most of the information comes from the DragonAge-Wikipedia page.

    In this version of Ferelden, the latter is actually heavily affected by the Orlesian occupation in multiple ways (other than solely making way for bitter war veterans), mostly culturally. Ferelden also seems to be influenced by the southern cities of the Free Marches as well as Antiva through trade.

    As the codex entry says, Lavellan became a hunter at a young age, growing into a respected protector and provider.

    It had been the journey of years, as her Huntmaster had told her, she felt strong, centered, confident, and all the peace and confidence in her skill as a mature hunter and in herself had been put into her vallaslin.

    I love its depiction of hunting and the way it goes into detail about the tattooing process, as well as its depiction of community and culture and the nomadic lifestyle.
