“You need your sleep,” Tim insisted, he watches as Lucy sits down on the bed, “I will hopefully be home soon,” Tim walks over to Lucy’s side of the bed.
“Just come home,” Lucy uttered, Tim places a hand on her shoulder.
“Always,” Tim uttered, he lends down and kisses her. He walks back towards the door, and looks back at Lucy, “I love you,” the words escaped his mouth before his brain could stop him. Shear panic fell over both of their faces, and before Lucy could say anything Tim walked out of view.

Finally, he turns back to the bar, wordlessly pouring her a shot of tequila. He slides it across the counter toward her, lifting his own glass in a silent gesture of cheers before downing the amber liquid in one fell swoop.
Lucy questions momentarily if maybe this isn’t the best idea — if adding alcohol to the intensity of the anger and grief and resentment that is still radiating off of him will result in anything other than regret.
But again, she opts to stay quiet. If this is what he needs in this moment, this is what she will give him.
She follows suit, wincing as the harshness of the liquor slides down the back of her throat.

The guns were definitively pointed at her now, the chauvinistic smirks gone from their faces. A chill breeze from the ocean swirled the smattering of sand at their feet, the fumes of evening traffic thick in the air. Hajek cocked his head at her, eyes slitted and jaw set. “You’ll do what you’re damn well told.” he growled and just then she felt Tim’s fingers slide into her belt loops.
“Baby, babe...” He drew her back against him, leaning on the car, and slipped his hands from her belt loops into her front pockets. Her concentration wavered precariously, fracturing in two when he brushed his nose along her temple, lips against her cheek, as he pulled her down to sit on his leg. Eyes on Hajek, skin burning everywhere she could feel Tim.
She couldn’t fight it. Sava wouldn’t.
