Half-delirious anticipation, simmering around and between and within. Talanah’s heart hammering under her breastbone just as hard as her own. The tight-twisted stillness lingers for what feels like forever before Aloy feels the easy curve of Talanah’s smile against her fallen-slack mouth.
“Okay,” Talanah husks, pulling back just far enough to stroke the pad of her thumb along Aloy’s lower lip. Aloy’s eyes flutter open to find her gaze—gentle but loaded, dreamlike, gleaming. An invitation: come here, burn sweet. “Let me take care of you.”
The ultimate threat approaches from across the stars. Aloy, wearied, finds solace when she needs it most.

It's still hard for Aloy to fall into celebrations like this. But both she and her friends have come a long way together, not just in their battles, but in their emotional growth too. So, this is a special time for everyone to celebrate what they treasure most.

Summary
It feels too good tonight to let it end. It feels…safe, after an entire day of battle-thrill, of fighting side-by-side. Watching each other’s back like that is a kind of tenderness that Aloy understands—one that can be given and known without words to make it all complicated.
Turns out, so is this. And Aloy doesn’t want to stop.
Aloy lets herself get carried away, and ends up out of her depth.
