"'Would you be cool with it if I hung out with the others for a bit?' Pentar asks. 'I think they wanted to play with the maces.'
E’s shoulders relax. He smiles. 'Of course I’m cool with it, man. Go spend some time with your friends.'
Pentar beams, unclasping his chestplate with practiced ease and shimmying on his elytra. 'Sweet.' He tugs his elytra open to unfurl the wings, slides a firework rocket into the launcher. 'But they’re your friends too, y’know.'
And then Pentar’s taking off to the sky, calling out towards a figure high above him. 'Clown! Let me see if I can get a mace crit on you off of an elytra launch!'
Pentar flies further up and out of earshot, gone before E can correct him. Because they’re not E’s friends too, not really."
Or, one of E’s rules for immortality was to Be Nobody. He might’ve been a bit too good at it. -

There's a certain point where you can no longer ask someone what their name is. Thorin isn't sure exactly when that point is, but he knows that it's probably some time before the person in question saves your life. On the far side of the Misty Mountains, Thorin realizes that he never quite caught the first part of Mr. Baggins' name, and he finds that it's astonishingly harder to learn than he would have thought. Fili, Kili, and Dwalin are no help whatsoever.
