Summary
Jon, a lonely paranormal researcher, becomes stranded while investigating unusual disappearances around an island perpetually shrouded in fog. He finds shelter with Martin; an isolated and capricious lighthouse keeper who seems to relive the same moment every night. The two grow close as Jon works to untangle the effects of The Lonely on Martin, but the island itself is not so willing to let either of them go.

Summary
In his capacity as Peter Lukas' assistant, Martin dresses differently. The pale hues and muted blues of his family are smeared all over Martin like an bruise. It's formal. It's professional.
For reasons he's not willing to examine right now, Jon cannot handle this. At all.

Summary
Jon swallowed, feeling faint. "Why...why are you here, then?"
"I would have rather hoped it was obvious, but we tend to be slow to accept these kinds of things at this point in our lives. Such a waste of time." The figure finally stood up, stepping forward slightly so Jon could see them.
"'We'?" Jon asked, but then stumbled back, understanding in one horrific moment.
Because he was looking at himself.

Summary
He lets out a huff, shaking his head. “I-I know it’s completely irrational, I just.........I mean, for god’s sake Jon, I’m twenty-nine and I’ve never kissed anyone.”
Jon sucks in a breath as something clicks into place. Some sort of understanding he’d been fumbling for as the room ricochets and suddenly Jon is the one sitting on the tub with puffy eyes and Martin’s standing in the doorway, too far and too close, too much yet too little.
And then Jon’s opening his mouth, letting the words fall out before he can even process what he’s saying.
“Do you want to practice?”Maybe staying with Martin was a mistake. Maybe invading his privacy like this is just another step further into Jon's own complicated feelings he can't seem to put a name to anymore.
Unrelated, but Martin has a date.Bookmarked by HotDrinks

They live.
The end. In conclusion. Fin.
or: Martin struggles in the wake of the events at the Panopticon. He does not tell Jon.
