And I confess, I asked you so often about my hair in hopes that you'd ruffle it, or brush a piece of it away from my eyes as I did to yours.

"You're messing with my sleep," Sae muttered quietly. Though he tried to sound harsh, it carried no real bite. His fingers brushed through Kaiser’s hair as if testing whether this was all real. Something about Kaiser’s hair always drew Sae’s hand in—he still couldn’t tell if it was the haircut he found pretty, or Kaiser’s face.
Kaiser’s lips twitched into a faint, sly smirk as he raised his head just slightly, letting Sae's fingers sink deeper against his scalp. "Messing with you, actually,” he replied, voice low and teasing. His hand drifted toward Sae’s arm, tracing a feather-light path with the same arm marked with the stem of that significant blue rose tattoo. And to think of it… now that Kaiser sported a hickey on the opposite side of that tattoo… well, it only seemed fair he’d earn a whole trail of them down his arm, right? The thought alone made Kaiser smirk wider.

Or, Kaiser shows up at Sae’s place on impulse, dragged there by that familiar, nauseating ache of missing him, wearing a new perfume. Something impossibly thick, unbearably intoxicating, and magnetic for Sae that hits too hard and too fast, and the night spirals into something neither of them planned for.
