“H-hi yes,” He stuttered, “who is this?”
“Hi sorry, my friend’s just been arrested and this was the number on his speed dial.”
“Whizzer?” This was certainly unexpected. He never pegged Whizzer as the criminal type. Marvin ran his hands through his grease-clumped hair.
“Yeah that’s his name, I’m sorry I really didn’t know what to do or who to call oh God-” Her voice cracked, “and I know it’s late but I really don’t want to leave him in there.” She became frantic and shaky as she continued. The sound of sirens and feedback could be heard in the background and her rambling became increasingly muffled and incomprehensible over the chaos.
